Professional Profile
Molly Weathington's litigation and trial practice focuses primarily on hospitals, physicians and other healthcare
institutions in actions alleging professional negligence, as well as product liability actions. She has also been very
involved in providing risk management advice to hospitals and other healthcare related organizations regarding
pre-litigation patient claims. She has tried numerous malpractice cases, with great success.
Mrs. Weathington is a native of Fitzgerald, Georgia and received a B.S. degree from the Georgia Institute of
Technology in 1991. She thereafter attended Georgia State University and in 1995 earned a J.D. and was
admitted to the Georgia bar. During law school, Molly was an active member of the Moot Court Board competition
team, Student Trial Lawyer's Association competition teams and Phi Delta Phi. She is presently a member of the
American and Atlanta Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Georgia Defense Lawyer's
Association, the Georgia Society of Healthcare Risk Management and the Lawyer's Club of Atlanta. Molly also
served as a member of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association Alexander Tharpe Board of Directors and as a
member of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers Board of Directors.
